Like An Ocean To Me (Marina)

He sat alone elbows to knees under the vast blue sky and opposite the sea

Planted on land feet buried in sand sat this incredibly curious man

He stared and glared and shared the air

never had he witnessed an ocean so fair

Like left and right like breath and life

a perfect pair no one no two nor three could tear

The sun the clouds yes even the breeze all had tips on fulfilling its needs

Sun- To keep her warm you’ll need rays like mine

No sleeping in late you must rise and shine

Breeze- though sun is right please don’t be a fool

She needs to be moved so keep it cool

Sky- no need for a dual for you’ll soon see

she is nothing more than a reflection of me

Cloud- you must know her depth and hear her cry

rivers and bays she will fill with her eye

Alone still he sat elbows to knees under the vast blue sky and opposite the sea

Planted in land feet buried in sand sat this incredibly curious man

Day turned to night then to day once again

Still he remained with ocean his friend

He spoke with his mind his heart and his spirit

His soul even showed with the flow of a lyric

English was boring and soon became foreign and now body language was all the more luring

Between the two not a word could be found For The ocean had spoken through motion and sound

Ocean- If you really wish to explore my core You have to leave shore And have to be sure.

Let’s mix let’s blend let’s create a new color The pleasure the treasure so much to discover.
